Welcome to LostNote Studio. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and the purchase of our products. By accessing our site or purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. General Conditions & Eligibility

  • Age Requirement: By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
  • Right to Refuse: We reserve the right to refuse service or cancel orders at our sole discretion, particularly in cases of suspected fraud, "Return to Origin" (RTO) abuse, or policy violations.
  • Accuracy of Information: We strive for perfection, but we are not responsible if information on this site (pricing, descriptions, or availability) is inaccurate.

2. Order Acceptance & Pricing

  • Acceptance: An order confirmation is an acknowledgment of receipt, not an acceptance. We reserve the right to limit quantities or cancel orders even after confirmation due to stock errors or technical glitches.
  • Modifications: Prices for our products are subject to change without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any price modification or discontinuance of products.

3. Shipping, Delivery & Security

  • Timeline: We aim to dispatch orders within 24–48 hours. Delivery typically takes 5–7 business days via our premium logistics partners.
  • OTP Verification: For the security of our "Signature Four" collections, LostNote reserves the right to use OTP-based delivery. Risk of loss passes to the customer once the correct OTP is provided to the courier.
  • Address Changes: For security, shipping addresses cannot be changed once an order has been dispatched.

4. Returns, Exchanges & "Risk-Free" Policy

To protect our artisanal process while ensuring customer satisfaction, we adhere to the following:

  • Mandatory Unboxing Video: To claim for leakages, breakages, or missing items, a continuous unboxing video (from seal-break to product reveal) is mandatory and must be reported within 24 hours.
  • Sealed Components: If an order includes a full-sized bottle and a "Discovery Set," the full-sized bottle must remain shrink-wrapped and unopened to be eligible for a return.
  • Discovery Sets: "The Intro" vials are non-refundable but may qualify for store credit toward a full-sized purchase, provided they are not tampered with.

5. No Warranties

  • "As-Is" Basis: Our website and products are provided ‘as is’ and ‘as available’ without any representation, warranties, or conditions of any kind, either express or implied.
  • Subjectivity: LostNote provides technical excellence (e.g., 25% Extrait de Parfum). However, we do not warrant that the fragrance longevity, sillage, or scent profile will meet individual subjective expectations or skin chemistry.
  • Batch Variation: As we use high-quality raw materials, subtle variations in batches or natural maceration over time are signs of authenticity and are not considered defects.

6. Limitation of Liability

  • Total Liability: In no case shall LostNote Studio, our directors, employees, or partners (including Aster Organics) be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Medical Disclaimer: LostNote is not liable for allergic reactions. Customers are responsible for reviewing ingredient lists and performing a patch test before full application.
  • Maximum Cap: Our liability for any claim shall not exceed the price paid by you for the specific product that gave rise to the claim.

7. Third-Party Links & Services

  • Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc., and we utilize third-party payment gateways. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of these third parties. Any complaints regarding third-party transactions should be directed to the third party.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You are strictly prohibited from using the site or its content:

  • Resale: For any commercial resale or "decanting" without a formal partnership agreement.
  • Infringement: To violate our intellectual property, including our "Lapse Vertical" descriptions, logos, and "Silent Confidence" branding.
  • Malicious Use: To upload viruses, scrape data, or harass, abuse, or defame the brand or its employees.

9. Intellectual Property & Fair Use

  • All content on this site is the property of LostNote Studio.
  • Comparative Advertising: Any mention of third-party brand names is for olfactive comparison purposes only and does not imply endorsement or affiliation.

10. Governing Law

  • These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Surat, Gujarat.
